Organisation & Management
The African Water Facility (AWF) is managed by its host organisation, the African Development Bank (AfDB).
Currently, AWF has eighteen full-time staff members and two consultants, all under the supervision and leadership of the current Officer in Charge, Mr. Woudeneh Tefera.

Mr Peter Akari (Ghana)
Chief Water Policy Officer
Peter Akari has over 20 years experience as a water and environmental sanitation engineer. He joined the AfDB as a staff member in July 2005. He has been seconded to the AWF as Water Policy Officer.
