Projects in the Pipeline

The AWF is currently evaluating more than 30 project proposals.

Over 25 out of these are coming from stakeholders at the national level while six are of regional nature and were encouraged by the AWF as strategic regional initiatives.

Current projects in the pipeline include:

  1. Multinational (Malawi/Tanzania): Detailed Design of Songwe River Basin Development = €3,000,000.
  2. Multinational-ENTRO: Baro-Akobo-Sobat Multipurpose Water Resource Development Study project-Project Proposal = €2,000,000.
  3. Nigeria: Reoptimization of the Tiga and Chalawa Gorge Dams =€1,000,000.
  4. Republic of Congo: Congo support sector reform and rural WSS = €1,647,000.
  5. Ghana: Design for service: A Novel Reuse-oriented Approach to improving the long-term operation of sanitation Facilities in Ghana = €480,000.
  6. Ethiopia: Development of Dam Safety Directive, design and Guidelines = €2,000,000
  7. Multinational: Plan d'action de gestion durable des ressources en eau de la mano River = €-
  8. Multi-GHARP-KRA: Piloting the tested integrated RHM systems and complementary technologies in ASAL districts of Ethiopia and Uganda, as well as continue replication and up-scaling of the tested RHM systems in Kenya = €1,270,000.
  9. Uganda: Domestic Rainwater Harvesting Program for Improved Health and Livelihoods in SW Uganda districts = €2,564,000.
  10. Benin: Levier d'acces a l'eau et l'assainissement pour les communautés et autorités locales du Benin = €2,000,000
  11. Zambia: Programme for the Development of Multipurpose dams = €2,000,000.
  12. Multinational: ECOWAS IWRM Indicators Project-Regional West African Water Observatory = €1,300,000.
  13. Zambia: Water Resources Development Project = €2,000,000.
  14. Multi-CEN-SAD: Réalisation de la Monographie des ressources en eau de l'espace CEN-SAD = €1,200,000.
  15. Multinational: Feasibility Study for the Shire Zambezi Waterways Projects = €1,388,310.
  16. Cote d'Ivoire: Plan de Developpement de l'hydraulique humaine = €1,173,857.
  17. Mali: BOOT-Préparation de projet: Alimetation en eau potable de la ville de Bamoko = €1,500,000.
  18. Multinational: Plan d'Action de Gestion durable des ressources en eau de la rivière Mano = €1,987,230.
  19. Cap Vert: Etude de mobilization des Eaux = €1,427,622.
