January 2009 - The Government of Liberia received a €1.7 million grant for a study to improve the enabling environment in the water sector through the development and implementation of policy, strategy, institutional reform, and capacity building. It will help formulate consolidated instruments for water sector planning, and reinforce national capacities to undertake the sector reform process. The project is expected to improve general efficiency in water resource allocation and utilization, help decrease the incidence of water related diseases, and improve the enabling environment in the water sector through implementation of a reform agenda.
