How to Apply
Application for funding from the African Water Facility can be done through the submission of ‘request for funding’ applications. However, eligible recipients may apply at any time via email to the Facility. Before you apply, please go through the Eligibility Fact Sheet and the Screening Grid to determine eligibility. If eligible, you may apply for funding using the application template which can also be found here.
After You Apply
After you apply, our dedicated project team will review your project funding application. After this, if your project is shortlisted for inclusion into the African Water Facility’s rolling project pipeline, you will be contacted via email to discuss the next steps.
Coming Soon – Digital Application System
The African Water Facility is launching an online digital application system to streamline the application process and improve efficiency. The pre-screening eligibility form will serve as a first stage requirement for application via the system. Applicants are required to answer all questions. If your project is eligible, the system will allow you to access the project funding application template, otherwise, you will receive an automated email indicating that your project is not eligible.
If your project is eligible, you will be required to fill all the sections of the project funding application template, upload and submit electronically in the system.
