The African Water Facility with support from the African Development Fund carried out the Lake Victoria Water Supply and Sanitation II project in Migori county, Kenya, to improve water supply and access, and quality sanitation.

The African Water Facility (AWF) supported the Orange-Senqu River Basin Commission (ORASECOM) with pre-feasibility study for the preparation of Climate Resilient Water Resources Investment Strategy and Plan, and Lesotho-Bostwana Water Transfer Multipurpose Transboundary Project.

Through the project “Social Franchising for operation and maintenance of school sanitation facilities and demonstration of on-site faecal sludge management treatment”, the African Water Facility constructed and refurbished sanitation facilities in 302 schools in East London, South Africa, directly impacting 93,000 students, 50% of whom were girls.
